Terms and Conditions
Please read my Terms and Conditions. I will kindly ask you to sign that you have read them on your client intake form.
1. Please have your horse groomed and ready to be saddled by the start of your appointment time.
2. Please note that your horse will be ridden by you during the appointment if the saddle fits well enough to be ridden in. If your horse is unable to be ridden, accommodations can be made.
3. 24 hours notice is required for cancellations. If you cancel in less than 24 hours, your deposit will be lost. If you cancel with more than 24 hours notice, your deposit can be moved to another appointment date.
4. Horses can be unpredictable, I, nor my business, is to be held liable for any injuries that may happen during or after the saddle fitting appointment to horse, rider, facilities, or equipment.
5. Horse's bodies change, please know that you may buy a saddle for your horse but over time it may change to not fit. This is not due to a poor fit, but rather a change in your horse. Please come to me for another evaluation when this time arises.
6. I reserve the right to not fit a horse due to poor condition of the horse's body, feet, riding environment, or rider condition.
7. I am not to be held liable for any changes or damages to the saddle that are done by someone else.
8. Photos will be taken at your appointment for marketing, record-keeping, and educational purposes. Should you not want your photos used, please let me know ahead of time.
9. It is recommended to get a fit every 6 months to ensure a consistent fit for your horse. If you feel there has been a change before the 6 month period, another appointment is welcomed if your horse is healthy and able to be ridden.
10. If there is an issue that you see with the fit, please contact me first before leaving a bad review. I am always happy to fix any issues and want to make sure that you and your horse are happy!
11. I am not a vet nor a medical practitioner, I cannot diagnose your horse in any way but can make referrals to professionals in the field.
Consignment Terms and Conditions
Thank you for choosing Pittman Saddle Fitting to consign your saddle! Please review the following terms and conditions before submitting your saddle for consignment.
Only saddles in good condition, free of major defects, damage, or excessive wear, are eligible for consignment. We reserve the right to reject any saddle for safety issues, over-stock, lack of space, or general condition of the saddle.
Saddles must be clean and free of any repairs or modifications that may affect resale value. We reserve the right to reject saddles deemed unsuitable for sale.
If the saddle is not clean and requires cleaning by Pittman Saddle Fitting, we will charge $35, to be collected at the sale of the saddle. This will be agreed upon by the seller before the saddle is cleaned, with photos provided.
By consigning your saddle with Pittman Saddle Fitting, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
A Consignment Agreement must be signed before the saddle is accepted. This agreement will outline your saddle’s agreed-upon price and other relevant consignment details.
The sale price of the saddle will be determined in collaboration between you (the consignor) and Pittman Saddle Fitting based on market value, condition, and demand.
You have the option to adjust the price after an initial period, but changes must be mutually agreed upon.
Pittman Saddle Fitting charges a 10% commission on the sale price of the saddle, which will be deducted from the final sale amount.
Payment to the consignor will be issued within 48 hours after the saddle has sold.
Payment Method: Payments will be made via Zelle or cash to the consignor.
Pittman Saddle Fitting will exercise reasonable care in handling and storing the saddle but will not be held responsible for any damages, theft, or loss of the saddle while in our possession.
Photos will be taken at the beginning on the contract to note any wear and tear on the saddle.
You may retrieve your unsold saddle at any time during the consignment period by providing a written notice to Pittman Saddle Fitting. You will need to pick up the saddle from an agreed upon location.
The consignor certifies that they are the rightful owner of the saddle and that the saddle is free of any liens, encumbrances, or legal disputes.
Pittman Saddle Fitting reserves the right to reject any consignment if there is any doubt regarding the ownership or title of the saddle.
Pittman Saddle Fitting will have the right to market and promote the consigned saddle through various channels, including but not limited to, in-store display, website listings, social media, and email marketing.
The consignor agrees to allow their saddle to be photographed and featured in promotional materials as part of the sales process.
Either party may terminate the consignment agreement at any time with written notice.
If the agreement is terminated, the saddle will be returned to the consignor within [Insert Time Period] and no further fees will be charged.
Pittman Saddle Fitting reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to the consignor, and a new agreement will be required if the terms are modified.
